The Great Leader...!!

A group of 70 scientists were working on a project as a deadline.

These 70 scientists were so absolutely under pressure because of their hectic work and the deadlines.

They were really finding it hard but they were so loyal to their boss that they just kept going.

One morning one of the scientists came to the boss and said,”There is an exhibition in town and I have promised my children to take them to the exhibition. Is it OK if I leave at 5.30?”

The boss said, “We are really working on a deadline, but since you have promised your kids you can actually leave at 5.30.”

The scientist was happy. He continued to work in his office and when he looked at his watch he had been so involved and absorbed in his work, he saw it was already 8.30 PM.

Oh! He felt so guilty that he had promised his kids that he would take them for the exhibition and he hadn’t gone home at 5.30.

He came to his boss’s cabin and saw that the boss was not there as well.

The scientist packed his bag and came home.

His wife was sitting in the living room reading magazines. He knew that the situation was extremely explosive. Anything he would ask or say would just boom rang back.

His wife looked at him and said, “Would you like to take a cup of coffee? Or would you like to go for dinner straight?”

The lady said, “At about 5.15, your boss came home and took the children for exhibition.”What had happened at 5 O’clock the boss had come and seen that the scientist was so absorbed and engrossed in his work and had completely lost track of time, the boss knew that he wasn’t going to leave office at 5.30.

The boss personally went to the scientist home and took the scientists kids for the exhibition.

Now the boss didn’t have to do this again and again.

Even that one time he did it and made that investment, the kind of commitment that came from all the scientists that worked under him was incredibly amazing.

This is why all these 70 scientists worked with such commitment at Thumba under their able, capable and super sensitive boss.

Guess who the boss was?

Late Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, the former president of India, the master mind behind the space research and the missiles project of India.

Yes friends, Greatness are not just about rubbing shoulders with the big guys, the true symptom of greatness is how we treat the apparently small and the least amongst mankind when we work with.

Therefore if we truly want to achieve success, we must connect to the big and the small. At all levels must treat all them with respect, dignity and sensitivity.

Fly High...

A crow holding a piece of meat in his beak was flying in the sky looking for a place to seat and eat it. Suddenly he saw a flock of eagles chasing him. Anxious to save his life the crow started flying higher and higher. Yet the eagles wouldn’t let go and kept chasing him. Seeing the plight of the crow, a bird a wise old owl sitting on a tall tree asked him, “What’s wrong with you my friend? You look very disturbed and why are you flying in such a state of panic?” The crow replied, “Look at these eagles! They are after my life. They want to kill me.” The wise owl said, “They are not after to kill you dear. All they want the piece of meat you are holding in your beak. Just drop it and see a magic.” The crow followed the advice of the owl. All the eagles flew towards the falling piece of meat and the crow could now fly higher. Isn’t this is true in our life as well? We hold on to the piece of meat. That money which is not ours and are always at...

The King and his Four wives...

Once upon a time there was a king who had four wives. He loved all of them but the fourth wife was the one that he adored the most. He provided her with the best things and always adorned her with the finest delicacies. His third wife was very beautiful and he loved to show her off to neighboring kingdoms. The second wife was very kind, patient and considerate. Whenever the king faced some problems with decision he would go to her and she would help him get through that decision. The first wife was a very loyal partner and made contribution in maintaining Kings Health and wealth but the king was very ignorant towards her. He hardly took notice of her. One day the king fell ill and he realized that he is going to die soon. He thought, “I now have four wives with me, but when I die I’ll be alone.” He called his fourth wife and asked, “I loved you most, I provided you most of the things you asked. When I die, will you follow me to keep me compan...

GOD has its own plan...

When Mr. Clark a Scottish farmer heard that the luxury cruise liner Titanic was to make its very first voyage. Its maiden voyage from the United Kingdom to United States of America. He had a dream to be on the ship with his wife and his five children’s. He practically spent most of his life’s savings to buy tickets for his entire family; non – refundable tickets guess what? Just a week before the Titanic made its way to America, one of Mr. Clark’s son was bitten by a dog. The doctor recommended that the boy be quarantined for his own safety and for the others around him. Mrs Clark suggested that he and the other children actually make their way on the trip. But Mr. Clark’s conscience didn’t allow him to leave his fife and his ill son behind. Wednesday 10 th April 1912, as the Titanic sailed forth from the Southampton port in Hampshire, England, Mr. Clark stood there crying tears of disappointment and frustration. All his money was gone and none of the...
