The King and his Four wives...

Once upon a time there was a king who had four wives.

He loved all of them but the fourth wife was the one that he adored the most.

He provided her with the best things and always adorned her with the finest delicacies.

His third wife was very beautiful and he loved to show her off to neighboring kingdoms.

The second wife was very kind, patient and considerate.

Whenever the king faced some problems with decision he would go to her and she would help him get through that decision.

The first wife was a very loyal partner and made contribution in maintaining Kings Health and wealth but the king was very ignorant towards her. He hardly took notice of her.

One day the king fell ill and he realized that he is going to die soon.

He thought, “I now have four wives with me, but when I die I’ll be alone.”

He called his fourth wife and asked, “I loved you most, I provided you most of the things you asked. When I die, will you follow me to keep me company?”

The fourth wife refused and walked away without saying any word.

The king felt very sad.

The third wife also refused saying, “No I can’t. Life is too good and I am young and I am going to remarry after you die.”

The Kings heart sank listening to these cold words said by his third wife.

The King then asked his second wife the same question and even she refused to the king saying, “I can’t help you out this time!”

The King was devastated.

Then a voice came from outside, “I will go with you. No matter where you go?”

The King looked up and saw his first wife who was looking really dull and suffered.

The King said with grief, “I should have taken care of you when I had the chance.”

The truth is we all have those four wives in our lives.

The fourth wife represents our body. Whole life we try to make it look good but truth is that it will leave us when we die.

The third wife represents our wealth and status. When we die it will go to others.

The second wife represents our relatives, family and friends. No matter how much they have been there for us, the furthest they can stay by us is up to the grave.

The first wife represents our soul. In pursuit of body, wealth and pleasure of this world we often ignore it.

Soul is the only thing that will follow us.

In this world we live for pleasure and sometimes we ignore our soul and spiritual being.

With all other things, what we should focus most is on our inner self – our soul.

Strengthen and cherish the soul, for it is the only part that will follow and be always with us.

Everything Happens For a Reason...

Once upon a time, there was a King who loved to hunt. One day whilst hunting, the king shot a wild leopard. The king ran towards it to see if it was dead or not, when suddenly the nearly dead leopard jumped up and attacked the king. The chief servant managed to kill the leopard but couldn’t prevent his majesty from losing a finger. Furious, the king said his servant, “If God was good, I would not have been attacked and I certainly wouldn’t have lost a finger!” The servant replied, “Despite all of these things, I can only tell you that God is great and everything happens is for good. Everything God does is perfect and He is never wrong.” Outraged by his response, the king asked the servant, “If I put you in prison, would you still think that is best for you?” The servant without fear, humbly replied, “Yes my Lord! I would still think that is the best arrangement for me.” The now enraged king ordered that the servant be imprisoned at once. Three ...
