Do whatever we think is proper...

One day a washer – man and his son were coming back from the village pond along with their donkey.

The donkey was carrying a huge load of clothes.

When they passed through the village lane, a passerby exclaimed, “Look at these cruel fellows! Their donkey is dying under the weight of huge bundle, but they do not have sympathy for this poor animal.”

Hearing this, the washer – man lifted the load from the donkey’s back and kept on his shoulders and moved ahead.

On the way, a few young people who were standing by the roadside, remarked, “Watch these fools! The donkey is walking without any load and the man is carrying the huge bundle!”

Listening to this, the washer – man, who was quite tired till that time, rode over the donkey.

Hardly did they move a few yards, they met few village woman who were pulling water from the well.

The woman screamed, “What a heartless father this man is! His son is walking and this hefty man is enjoying the ride!”

Hearing this, the washer – man got down from the donkey and asked his son to ride on the donkey.

The son sat over the donkeys back and they continued their journey.

When they reached near the village chowk, few elderly people shouted,” Look at this shameless son!

He is riding on the donkey and the father is walking. Today’s youths have no respect for their elders.”

Uncomfortable with the remark, the washer – man too rode on the donkey.

When the washer – man and his son reached near the temple, the village priest looked at them and cried out, “Look at these merciless people! How both the father and the son are riding on this poor animal! They don’t have compassion for their own pet.”

Unable to bear the conflicting comments from the people any more, the son screamed,” Shut up! We can never satisfy you people. Now we will do, whatever we think proper.”

Everything Happens For a Reason...

Once upon a time, there was a King who loved to hunt. One day whilst hunting, the king shot a wild leopard. The king ran towards it to see if it was dead or not, when suddenly the nearly dead leopard jumped up and attacked the king. The chief servant managed to kill the leopard but couldn’t prevent his majesty from losing a finger. Furious, the king said his servant, “If God was good, I would not have been attacked and I certainly wouldn’t have lost a finger!” The servant replied, “Despite all of these things, I can only tell you that God is great and everything happens is for good. Everything God does is perfect and He is never wrong.” Outraged by his response, the king asked the servant, “If I put you in prison, would you still think that is best for you?” The servant without fear, humbly replied, “Yes my Lord!
