The Power of Your Dreams

There is a reason why we dream. Dreams are not just a product of the processing of information that our brain conducts while we sleep. No, there is something more to it than that.
It is from dreams that some of the greatest inventions of man have become a reality.

Take for example the renowned chemist Dmitri Mendeleev, it was in his dream that he figured out how to place all the elements on a periodical table. He quotes, "In a dream I saw a table where all the elements fell into place as required.
Awakening, I immediately wrote it down on a piece of paper.” Srinivas Ramanujan discovered thousands of mathematical equations from his dreams.
René Descartes, the man who built much of the framework of the modern scientific method mentioned that the basis of the method came to him in a dream that he had on November 10, 1619.

These are just a few examples of how people got the answers to some of the most complex questions from their dreams and worked on bringing them to life.
Our subconscious mind is constantly trying to give us answers to questions we may struggle with, many of these answers come to us in the form of dreams. However most of us may struggle with recalling them.
Did you know that an average human being has about 6-7 dreams per night. It's just that our mind is not trained to remember all them.

There is a very simple exercise to start recalling your dreams. Our mind is a powerful tool that can accomplish almost anything, all we have to do is practice.
Before going to bed, for at least 24 days (It takes around 24 days to form an habit), keep telling yourself that 'I will remember all my dreams'. At first, you may not see any results at all, but don't be alarmed by that, just keep doing it.
After a while you will notice that vague memories of your dreams will linger in your mind when wake up, these too may fade away after a while, so start making a note of it on your mobile or on a book.
As you continue to do this, you will notice that it's not just one dream that comes back to you but a number of dreams.

Now the fun doesn't just stop there. Try to understand what your dreams mean, see if it applies to something that is happening in your everyday life.
Many of the problems we struggle with have already been solved in our amazing mind that God has blessed us with. It is all locked up away in our sub consciousness waiting to be discovered.
These answers come to us in the form of dreams. You could say that it's God's way of connecting with us.

Moral of this story

So follow your dreams, not only the ones that come to you while you sleep, but also the ones that you dream with open eyes too.

Learn from every Lesson...

Once a man was walking in a forest and he happened to see an exotic bird, being very charmed by it and wanting to have it as a pet, he tip toed towards it from behind and caught it. To his utter surprise, the bird started talking and it said to him, “Please release me, in return I shall give you three gems – three valuable pieces of advice that can transform your life.” I will give you first one only when you let me go. The second one when I fly up to that branch and the third one when I fly up high to the very top of the tree. The man instantly agreed and released the bird. As soon as it was free the bird started flying up as it said. “Here is the first gem, my first piece of advice - Do not torture, torment and burden yourself with excessive regret for your past mistakes.” As the man pondered over what he was just heard, the bird flew up and sat on a branch and spoke back. “And the second one is – Do not believe on anything that goes against commo...
